About

Hi!  I'm Beth Nelson, a Chicago and Tampa Bay-based interior designer specializing in beautiful, functional, and efficient spaces for homes and businesses.  What drives me is problem solving.  Well, that AND a good before and after - seeing real results.  Achieving good design is what I’m here for.  I consider myself an expert at drafting and rendering in SketchUp and AutoCAD and am a self-taught user of Adobe products - Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I am a self-starter and focused, having over 15 years of experience in the interior design field specializing in, but not limited to, kitchen and contract furniture design and commercial office interior space planning.  I’m proud of my work experience, having jumped in with both feet to lead projects through all phases of the interior design process - from conceptualization to successful completion.  And as a LEED Accredited Professional, I developed a proficiency in facilitating sustainable projects by completing the LEED documentation, review, and certification process.  I look forward to collaboration!  I’m grateful, and it excites me to “sit at the table” with and work alongside various project stakeholders along the way, such as craftspeople, vendors, manufacturers, contractors, real estate owners/operators, engineers, and architects.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my friends, family, and our two lab-mix rescue pups.  I love coffee, fresh air, Indian food, spending life outdoors, and hanging out in cool places.  My guilty pleasures are cheese curds, reality TV, and hoarding design magazines.  I’m genuinely an observer of life.  Carefully noticing and creating beautiful things every day, I am fully in tune with and inspired by the world around me.
